La Luz releasing 'Weirdo Shrine' (produced by Ty Segall) in August, share "You Disappear"

Seattle’s super-fun surf rockers La Luz will release their second album, Weirdo Shrine, on August 7 via Hardly Art. As mentioned, they made the LP with producer Ty Segall at a converted surf shop in San Dimas, California. Unlike the very clean sound of 2013’s It’s Alive, the new album is more revved up, with with some wild fuzzed-out solos piercing their twangy, tremolo’d tones. Segall says the album gave him visions of “a world…burning with colors I’d never seen, like mauve that is living.” Okay, Ty. Well, that new energy is pretty evident on first single “You Disappear,” which you can stream or download below.
