Laraaji performing his classic 'Ambient 3: Days of Radiance' at BAM Cafe (free) ++ other shows
Fans of ambient pioneer Laraaji will get a chance to catch the man soon at a special free performance in Brooklyn. That show, which is again free of charge, is going down at the BAM Cafe on October 29. It’s part of the World Music Institute’s counterpoint series, and will find Laraaji performing his 1980, Brian Eno-produced classic Ambient 3: Day of Radiance (which came in at #35 on Pitchfork’s recent Top 50 Ambient LPs of All-Time list).
Earlier that day there’s also a chance to catch Laraaji in conversation, as he’ll be speaking about his music at 3 PM that afternoon at Commend in Manhattan. That event is also free, so you can make it a full day of Laraaji if you want.
