Largehearted Boy's Interesting CD Releases This Week

Canopy GlowAnathallo’s Canopy Glow is the standout music release this week, one that is sure to end up on many “best of 2008” album lists.

Other albums released this week that I have heard and can definitely recommend include Steve Earle and the Del McCoury Band’s The Mountain, Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan’s Sunday at Devil Dirt, Max Tundra’s Parallax Error Beheads You, and Momus’s Joemus.

Technically, it’s not a reissue, but Belle and Sebastian’s The BBC Sessions is an amazing set of recordings from one of my favorite bands.

Reissues this week include several discs by Dead Can Dance and three vinyl albums from Ida.
