LCD Soundsystem add Dec BK Steel run, continue June run tonight (15 upcoming shows total)
LCD Soundsystem did a five-show run at NYC venue Brooklyn Steel in April which were the first five shows at the venue. They’re currently in the midst of a seven-show run at the venue. It began on Friday, continued on Saturday, took Sunday off, and returns tonight (6/19). There are also shows on Tuesday (6/20), Wednesday (6/21), Friday (6/23), and Saturday (6/24), all of which are sold out.
The band will do a THIRD Brooklyn Steel residency with TEN shows in December: 12/11, 12/12, 12/14, 12/15, 12/17, 12/18, 12/19, 12/22, and 12/23. That means, including this week’s shows, there are FIFTEEN upcoming LCD Soundsystem shows in Brooklyn, making a total of 22 there by the end of the year.
Tickets for the December shows go on sale Friday (6/23) at 10 AM. You will probably want to act fast. Stay away, scalpers.
The December residency comes at the end of a just-announced world tour. LCD Soundsystem’s first album since 2010, American Dream, will be out on September 1 via Columbia/DFA. All dates are listed, with streams of two songs from the album, below.
