LCD Soundsystem playing 'Saturday Night Live'
SNL announced that LCD Soundsystem will be the musical guest on May 6th with host Chris Pine (Captain Kirk in the new Star Trek movies, the new Wonder Woman movie, and more). This comes hot on the heels of their five Brooklyn Steel shows where they debuted four songs from their still-untitled fourth album. SNL usually don’t bring bands on to play old songs. We’ll see.
Last night’s SNL, with host Jimmy Fallon and musical guest Harry Styles, was the first ever to be broadcast live simultaneously on the East Coast and West Coast. The show wraps up its 42nd season with Melissa McCarthy on May 13 and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on May 20, musical guests TBA.
