Le Butcherettes touring (with and without ATDI); Crystal Fairy streaming LP

Crystal Fairy — the supergroup with Le Butcherettes singer Teri Gender Bender, At the Drive In guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, and Melvins members Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover — are releasing their self-titled debut album this Friday (2/24) on Mike Patton and Greg Werckman’s Ipecac Records. You can hear a litle of the Melvins’ sludge and ATDI’s fury, but singer Teri Gender Bender is the real star here. The whole album is streaming now, and you can listen below (via Rolling Stone).

Crystal Fairy were supposed to play the Psycho Las Vegas festival, but they’ve dropped off (though the Melvins are still playing that fest). Le Butcherettes are also opening several dates on the just-expanded At the Drive In tour, and they have some headlining shows as well.

There’s no opener billed for ATDI’s sold-out NYC show at Terminal 5 on March 22, but Le Butcherettes play a headlining NYC show at Saint Vitus (3/21) a day earlier. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (2/24) at 10AM. All of their tour dates are listed below.
