Lee Ranaldo readies new LP (watch video of new songs live), playing solo acoustic show at Trans-Pecos
Lee Renaldo has been pretty busy lately. He’ll appear on The National’s Grateful Dead compilation, and he’s been playing quite a few NYC shows lately, including Ecstatic Music Festival and that New Year’s show at City Winery. He’s also got a new record in the can and, though title and date are still TBA, he’s been playing some of those new songs on tour. You watch him play a few of them, including one called “Circular,” in a full-concert video taped at Schauspielhaus Theatre in Vienna back in Feburary. It’s pro-shot, with good sound. He’s has announced a solo acoustic show in NYC. He’ll be playing with Chuck Johnson and Ancient Ocean at Trans-Pecos on March 29. Tickets for that show are on sale now. The only other upcoming show Ranaldo has on his schedule is the 2016 Levitation fest in Austin.
