Lemuria made videos for ‘Wise People’ & ‘Pleaser’ (premiere)
Don’t ever accuse Lemuria of going half-assed. One month after the band released the new video for “Wise People” (their first video), Lemuria is back with a second for “Pleaser” which is premiering in this post. Both songs come from Lemuria’s latest LP Pebble, which hit last year via Bridge 9 and features J.Robbins at the board.
Check out both videos, and a comment from the “Pleaser” video’s director Thom Glunt below.
I feel this video is one of the most deceiving in my body of work. On the surface it seems so cute, playful and sweet but the overall tone is saddening. I hope that people can walk away still feeling good because the video is about a boy illustrating his love for his mother even if his actions are in vain. We had a great time making this video, the cast and crew got to play with a kid all day and see toys from their childhood in a different light. My inspiration for the video came from the feelings of disappointment I had when I received some of these toys as a child and the idea of “what if they had actually worked like they were advertised?”. – Thom Glunt, director of “Pleaser”
