Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has announced his sophomore solo album, which is titled Why Me? Why Not., and will be out September 20 via Warner. He co-wrote the album with producers/hitmakers Andrew Wyatt (Miike Snow) and Greg Kurstin (The Bird & The Bee), both of whom worked on Gallagher’s debut, As You Were. “I wrote some songs on my own for the last album, but this time it’s all co-writes,” Gallagher says. “Reason being is I want it to be even better than As You Were. I know my strengths and I know my limitations. I’m an OK songwriter, but I’m a great singer and frontman. I want the second album to be a step-up because the hardest thing to do is to make something the same, only better. So that’s what we’ve done.” The first single is “Shockwave,” which he shared last week and he’s just shared its video which leans into Gallagher’s biggest attribute: attitude. Watch that, and check out the album art, below.

As mentioned, Liam will join The Who‘s tour for opening slots in San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Vancouver and Los Angeles (at The Hollywood Bowl).
