Liam Gallagher performed new single "For What It's Worth" on 'Colbert' (watch)

Liam Gallagher‘s debut solo album, As You Were, is out October 6 and he recently shared new single “For What It’s Worth” which is not a Buffalo Springfield cover but an arm-waving ballad very much in the “Don’t Look Back in Anger” mode. If that’s what you’re looking for, it’s probably the best song we’ve heard yet from the LP. You can check out the lyric video below.

Liam stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday night (8/14) to perform “For What It’s Worth,” and then stuck around for a web-exclusive performance of “Wall of Glass.” You can watch both of those below.

Having played a couple very intimate NYC shows in July, Liam will be back on his fall tour to play a sold-out show at Terminal 5 on November 27. All dates are listed below.

Meanwhile, like his brother Noel, Liam is happy to share his opinions on anything, and in a recent interview with Noisey he did just that, hitting on such subjects as current rock bands (“They should be ashamed of the shit the put out”), Harry Styles (“Chill out, you cunt”), trains (“Everything’s fuckin’ shit”), the sea (“Fuck that, mate. That ain’t meant for us”), and more.
