Life of Agony announce tour, dates with Type O offshoot Silvertomb

Brooklyn alt-metal vets Life of Agony recently announced two intimate hometown shows at Saint Vitus where they’ll be playing “tracks never heard live” and those shows quickly sold out. Now LOA have announced that after those shows, they’ll go on the lengthy “Rise of the Underground Tour” of the USA and Europe. Support on the September dates will come from Type O Negative members Kenny Hickey (also of Seventh Void) and Johnny Kelly’s (also of Danzig) new band Silvertomb, and additional openers are TBA.

LOA bassist Alan Robert said:

With 2018 marking the 25th anniversary of our debut album, we are just so incredibly grateful to our fans for sticking with us all these years and wanted to do something really special for them. We’re breaking out some old fan favorites that we’ve never played before live and hitting cities we haven’t been to in over a decade. You really can’t beat the crazy energy of a packed, sweaty, tiny club, like we used to play back in the day, so we decided to include some very intimate rooms on this tour, along with the bigger venues, to feel that deep emotional connection again with our die-hard fans. It’s gonna be insane.

In addition to the sold-out Vitus shows, LOA’s run with Silvertomb hits NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on September 29. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (3/23) at noon with a Citi presale starting Tuesday (3/20) at 10 AM.

LOA also have a Teaneck, NJ show on 9/16 at Debonair Music Hall (ticket info TBA). All dates are listed below.

These will be some of LOA’s first shows with new drummer Veronica Bellino, who replaced Sal Abruscato (who was originally Type O Negative’s drummer before Johnny Kelly replaced him in that band).
