Lifetime, Minor Threat & Bouncing Souls members form Beach Rats

Beach Rats

New punk supergroup alert: Lifetime singer Ari Katz is now fronting a band called Beach Rats, which also features Brian Baker (Minor Threat, Bad Religion, Dag Nasty) on guitar, Bouncing Souls members Brian Kienlen and Pete Steinkopf on guitar and bass, and Bouncing Souls pal Danny Windas (aka “Dubs”) on drums. They launched an Instagram, where they’ve been posting updates from the studio as they record their debut EP. Stay tuned for more info and see some of the Instagrams below.

Meanwhile, The Bouncing Souls recently announced the 2018 edition of Stoked for the Summer (with Against Me! and Titus Andronicus). Brian Baker will appear at next week’s (3/16) taping of the Going Off Track podcast at Knitting Factory Brooklyn (with Jawbreaker frontman Blake Schwarzenbach and Laura Stevenson), and he has upcoming Dag Nasty shows.
