Lil Wayne says he "might be" quitting co-headlining tour with blink-182

UPDATE: Lil Wayne isn’t quitting after all.

blink-182 and Lil Wayne began their-less-weird-than-it-seems joint co-headlining tour (where blink-182 are performing Enema of the State in full, like they did at Warped Tour) late in June, but after Thursday (7/11) night’s show, the two bands may be going their separate ways. As Exclaim points out, and you can watch video of below, Lil Wayne gave a short speech part of the way into his brief set at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA, where he suggested he might quit the tour. “Please forgive me,” he said, “but I am so not used to performing to a crowd and there’s not too many, you know, like still, that’s not my swag.”

“I’m not sure how long I’m going to be able to do this tour,” he continued, “but make some noise for blink-182 for including me anyway. This might be my last night though, let’s go.” He then reportedly walked off after performing four songs.

Many attendees took to social media to express their frustration at Lil Wayne’s shortened set; read some of their tweets below.

No official word about the status of the tour going forward has been released. Stay tuned for updates.
