listen to an hour of Paul Stanley stage banter from Kiss shows

“I CAN’T HEAR YOU!” – KISS @ Jones Beach, 2010 (more by Matthew Eisman)
Paul Stanley

You may remember that rock Gods KISS and Def Leppard would be teaming up for something called the 2014 Heroes tour. Being ‘hailed’ as THE classic rock mega tour of the summer, the party lands in our neck of the woods (and just slightly out of our neck of the woods) for several dates, including July 26 at the PNC Bank arts Center in Holmdel, NJ; August 8 at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY; August 6 at Jones Beach, and August 10 at the XFINITY Theatre in Hartford, CT. Tickets to those shows are still avialable. With any luck, we will somehow manage to get our man Dave Hill on the ground at one of these shows and provide us with a review as compelling and incredible as his review of Def Leppard, Poison, and Lita Ford, which recently (randomly) got some love on StreetCarnage.

In order to get you mofos PUMPED for these shows, I thought I’d share something with you that I recently stumbled upon: 60 minutes of Paul Stanley Stage Banter:

In 2005, a bootleg CD began circulating entitled People, Let Me Get This Off My Chest: The Very Best of Paul Stanley’s On Stage Banter. The fan-made disc compiled 70 tracks worth of Stanley’s distinctive song introductions and on-stage banter.

This stuff is amazing and immediately brings to mind Dr. Rockso from Metalocalypse (video below). You can listen to the whole damn thing below. Trust me: you will wish this thing was eight hours long.

Before this summer’s mega-tour — that should probably be called “The Panty Dropper Tour 2014: Not a Dry Seat In The House” — Kiss will be honored (begrudgingly?) at the 29th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony (4/10)  at Barclays Center in Brooklyn which is sold out.

Paul Stanley’s awesome stage banter compilation and Metalocalypse clips below…
