The Continental Drift compilation, featuring Wildhoney, Mercury Girls, Spook School and Tigercats is out Friday (8/26) via Fortuna Pop!/Slumberland. (Order yours.) All four bands deliver terrific, guitar pop from the dreamier sounds of Wildhoney and Mercury Girls, to the bouncy, punkier The Spook School and sonic smiles of Tigercats. For those who fondly remember the age of ’90s indie compilations like One Last Kiss, Just a Taste and Pop American Style, this fits perfectly in the tradition (all eight songs are great, too). Wildhoney will celebrate Continental Drift‘s release this Friday (8/26) in their Baltimore hometown at The Crown with Soul Cannon, Creepoid, Flahser and Shinji. Flyer is below. Meanwhile, Mercury Girls will be on tour this fall with Balance and Composure and Foxing, hitting NYC on November 17 at Warsaw. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (7/29).
