listen to Noveller’s new LP ‘A Pink Sunset For No One’
Noveller‘s new album, A Pink Sunset For No One, will be out this Friday (2/10) via Fire Records. Sarah Lipstate, who is Noveller, weaves exquisite sonic fabric with her guitar, too engaging to be called ambient, perhaps more in the modern composer realm (she pays specific tribute to Steve Reich on “Rituals”), and you can also hear the influence of artists like Tangerine Dream on the LP too. (She also cites her tour last year with Iggy Pop as an inspiration.) In any case, it’s a gorgeous album and we’ve premiering a stream of the whole thing. Listen below.
Sarah will be in the UK this month for a couple performances of ‘Blake and the Apocalypse’ with poet Nick Flynn, and she’ll get around to celebrating the release of A Pink Sunset For No One on March 11 at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn with Egyptrixx and Eartheater. Tickets are still available.
