listen to The Distillers' eclectic quarantine playlist

Distillers

The Distillers finally reunited in 2018 for live shows and they’ve been planning to release their first album since 2003 too. That reunion is of course now on pause, but The Distillers seem to be making the best of quarantine. They curated a four-hour-long playlist called ‘The Quarantine Kitchen Sink’ and it’s got a very diverse selection of songs, from Killing Joke, Faith No More, OM, Vince Staples, Failure, Slipknot, Rage Against the Machine, Boy Harsher, Yves Tumor, Nicolas Jaar’s Against All Logic (ft. Lydia Lunch), Burial, Blanck Mass, Tweedy, DIIV, Cate Le Bon, Kreayshawn, Thee Oh Sees, The Cure, Black Flag, and much more.

The band writes, “Hope you’re all staying safe out there. We put together a playlist of some of our favorite songs to help get you through the quarantine.” You can listen to this very eclectic playlist below.

Meanwhile, Distillers bassist Ryan Sinn did a playthrough video for “Hall of Mirrors” from The Distillers’ classic 2003 album Coral Fang. You can watch that below and request what song you want to see next. Update: they also released a drum playthrough video for “Die On A Rope” and you can watch that below too.

The band also have Distillers-branded face masks available in their merch store.

For more Distillers, we recently looked back on their cover of Patti Smith’s “Ask the Angels” in our list of 20 great covers of classic punk songs by ’90s/’00s punk bands.
