Lockn' 2018 expands lineup; JRAD announces tour, playing Prospect Park
As mentioned, the 2018 Lockn’ Festival lineup is being revealed gradually. The first name announced was Dead & Company, who are headlining two nights, and the Virginia fest has since added George Clinton & P-Funk, Umphrey’s McGee, Lettuce (playing two of their own sets and one tribute set to the Jerry Garcia Band), Toots & the Maytals, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Blues Traveler, Sheryl Crow, Turkuaz, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Moon Taxi, and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong.
UPDATE: Joe Russo’s Almost Dead were also announced for two late-night sets on the Relix Stage.
The fest goes down August 23-26. Tickets go on sale Friday (2/9) at noon and the full lineup will be revealed before that.
In related news, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (who brought out Bob Weir at one of their Lockn’ 2017 sets) have announced a tour, including some big shows like a BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival show at Prospect Park on July 19 and a Red Rocks show in August. Tickets for the Prospect Park show go on BRIC presale today (2/6) at 2 PM and the public on-sale starts Friday at 1 PM.
JRAD also have three smaller, sold-out Brooklyn shows happening before that: March 8-10 at Brooklyn Bowl. All dates are listed below.
