Lockn' 2020 lineup: Phil Lesh all 3 nights, David Crosby, Brandi Carlile, Leon Bridges, Oteil, Hot Tuna, more

We already knew Lockn’ 2020 would be happening in June (instead of August) this year and that it would feature a celebration of Phil Lesh‘s 80th birthday, and now the majority of the lineup has been announced, including different headlining sets from Phil all three nights.

On night one, Phil does two Phil Lesh Quintet sets with Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring, Rob Barraco, and John Molo; and on night two it’s that same lineup plus the legendary David Crosby. The third and final night will see Phil team with beloved Dead tribute band Joe Russo’s Almost Dead as well as John Mayer, who plays with Phil’s former Grateful Dead bandmates in Dead & Co.

Elsewhere on the lineup, there’s Brandi Carlile, Dead & Co (and The Brothers) member Oteil Burbridge doing a many-membered Oteil & Friends set, Leon Bridges, Electric Hot Tuna, Warren Haynes’ band Gov’t Mule, David Crosby’s own set, Phish’s Mike Gordon, Railroad Earth playing a set of songs by Jerry Garcia’s bluegrass band Old & In The Way with Old & In The Way’s Peter Rowan (and also doing their own set), Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers, Black Pumas, Garcia Peoples, Goose, Yola, The Chain Gang (playing Rumours and more with Devon Allman, Duane Betts, and others), and more.

Phil Lesh and Hot Tuna’s Jorma Kaukonen will also perform in the super VIP lounge, there will be late-night sets in Garcia’s Forest, and there will be a “Steal Your Thursday” the day before the fest properly begins with Dead tribute band Dark Star Orchestra, The Marcus King Band, Brandon “Taz” Neiderauer, and The Jerry Dance Party. Full lineup on the poster below.

The fest goes down June 19-21 at Infinity Downs + Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, VA. Tickets are on sale now.
