Lollapalooza 2019 day 4 pics (Kacey Musgraves, Mitski, Rosalia, Meek Mill, more)

Before performing the tender ballad “Rainbow,” Musgraves dedicated the number “to everyone who has the bravery to even show up to a music festival,” a possible reference to the 2017 massacre at a Las Vegas music fest, or this weekend’s two mass shootings in bustling areas of El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio.

Musgraves invited the crowd to join her in yelling “somebody fucking do something” in regards to the tumultuous state of the country, and the response was deafening. [Chicago Sun Times]

The 2019 edition of Lollapalooza wrapped up on Sunday (8/4) at Chicago’s Grant Park with sets from Ariana Grande, Perry Farrell’s Kind Heaven Orchestra, Kacey Musgraves (who covered Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive”), Flume, Mitski, Slash feat. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, Meek Mill, Rosalia, Sharon Van Etten, Denzel Curry, Tayla Parx, Francis and the Lights, Joji, J.I.D., (Sandy) Alex G and more. Check out pictures from the whole day in the gallery above.
