London's Sauna Youth released shouty/catchy 'Distractions' (stream it)

London band Sauna Youth formed at the start of the decade and since have been cranking out hooky, shouty music that straddles the line between indiepop and punk. The band just released their new album, Distractions, which hits the ground running and tears through 14 songs in less than 30 minutes, only slowing down once. It’s a terrific record and fans of Shrag, Los Campesinos, Male Bonding, The Fall (or even The Clash) should take notice. (I particularly like “Try to Leave.”) You can stream the entire album, as well as their excellent 2013 cover of Pissed Jeans’ “False Jesii,” below.

Sauna Youth start a UK tour this weekend. Let’s hope they visit North America sometime soon, but until then all dates are listed below.
