Lorde put Weyes Blood & Aldous Harding in playlist +++++ Tiny Hazard & M Lamar added to BV Northside show

Lorde recently posted a Spotify playlist called “Homemade Dynamite” that she plans to update regularly. “Always posting what i’m listening to on twitter so i figured.. why not make a playlist of bomb shit and update it throughout this cycle?,” she tweeted. In addition to her own music and popular stuff from then and now like Future, Paul Simon, Nancy Sinatra, Black Star, Santigold and Bon Iver, Lorde picked a couple very cool, more obscure songs. One is Weyes Blood‘s “Seven Words” off last year’s excellent Front Row Seat to Earth, and the other is “Imagining My Man” by Lorde’s New Zealand neighbor Aldous Harding, the latest single off her upcoming 4AD debut Party.

UPDATE: Party is out now; stream it and read our review.

As previously mentioned, Aldous is touring soon, including the BrooklynVegan x AdHoc Northside Festival show on June 8 at The Park Church Co-Op (the church in Greenpoint that hosts concerts). We’re now excited to reveal the openers for that show: Tiny Hazard, whose debut album Greyland came out earlier this year on Ba Da Bing, and M. Lamar, who’s fresh off releasing two new albums and performing a monodrama in NYC with Liturgy’s Hunter Hunt-Hendrix.

Tickets for the BV/Northside show are still available, and you can also try getting in with a Northside badge (based on capacity). Aldous has other dates, including another Northside show. Full tour schedule HERE.

Party was produced by PJ Harvey collaborator John Parish and comes out May 19 via 4AD. Listen to “Imagining My Man” (which features Perfume Genius), the rest of Lorde’s Spotify playlist, a brand new Tiny Hazard video, and a recent M Lamar video, below.
