Ben Nichols and Rick Steff of Lucero were just in NYC for a duo set at The Shop on Friday (pictured above), and now the full band has announced a tour that brings them back here in the fall for something less intimate.

The tour hits NYC on October 8 at Webster Hall. Tickets for that show go on BrooklynVegan presale Wednesday (6/17) at noon. Check back here Wednesday morning for the password. All dates on the tour, dubbed the “Sailor Jerry Presents: An Evening With Lucero” tour, below. They also have other shows before that run, including a big Philly show with Social Distortion.

Lucero also have a new album, All A Man Should Do, coming out September 18 via ATO. First single “Went Looking For Warren Zevon’s Los Angeles” is one of the band’s softer/slower cuts, and that can be listened to below. The album also includes a cover of Big Star’s “I’m In Love With A Girl” featuring Jody from Big Star on backup vocals. Ted Hutt, who’s worked with the band several times (as well as The Gaslight Anthem, The Bouncing Souls and others), produced it.
