Lucy Dacus signs to Matador, shares new video, touring
Indie rock newcomer Lucy Dacus released her very good debut album No Burden earlier this year on the small EggHunt Records, and it’s now been announced that she’s made the move to Matador Records. That makes her labelmates with Thurston Moore, Kurt Vile, Belle & Sebastian, and many more. Congrats Lucy!
Matador will re-press No Burden in LP and CD formats on September 9. Today Lucy also put out a new video for the album’s standout single “I Don’t Wanna Be Funny Anymore,” where she gives us a glimpse of her life on tour. (She had already released one video for that song.) Watch it below.
She’ll also be heading on tour starting this summer,including some dates with Julien Baker, The Decemberists, Frightened Rabbit, and another promising indie rocker who recently signed to Matador, Car Seat Headrest. No NYC dates announced at the moment but stay tuned. All dates are listed below.
