Luna @ Industry City Courtyard (pics, setlist, video)

Luna kicked off a short Northeast tour on Friday (8/24) at Brooklyn’s Industry City Courtyard, a show that was part of the Bell House Summer Series. Their music is perfect for a laid-back outdoor show on a Friday night, and Dean, Britta, and the rest of the band played a sweet, career-encompassing set that included favorites like “Slide,” Chinatown,” “Malibu Love Nest,” “I Can’t Wait,” “Lost in Space” and “23 Minutes in Brussels.” Luna pulled out a few of the covers found on last year’s A Sentimental Education, too, like The Cure’s “Fire in Cairo” and Mercury Rev’s “Car Wash Hair.” They played Galaxie 500’s “Strange” too. Check out the setlist below and pictures from the night, including openers Acid Dad, are in the gallery above.

After Brooklyn, Luna hit Cambridge, MA and Fairfield, CT and are now on their way to Europe.
