Margo Price Stone Me

Margo Price releases first new single in over two years, "Stone Me"

Margo Price is back with “Stone Me,” her first new song since 2018’s “Leftovers” for Amazon Music’s “Produced By” series, and her first proper single since 2017’s All American Made. It’s also her first single for Loma Vista, following two albums on Jack White’s Third Man Records. She first debuted the song live on Full Frontal With Samantha Bee last night, and the studio version is out now.

“After what feels like an eternity, I’m releasing a new song into the wild today. It’s been hard to keep everything I’ve been working on for the last year to myself and I’m so excited to share it,” she says. It’s great to have you back, Margo! Listen and watch the Samantha Bee performance below.

The song was co-written by Margo’s husband Jeremy Ivey (whose 2019 album was produced by Margo and featured her singing), and he also played 12-string acoustic guitar on it. Other musicians on the track include pianist Benmont Tench (Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers), guitarist Matt Sweeney (Chavez, Zwan), bassist Pino Palladino (Elton John, D’Angelo), drummer James Gadson (Marvin Gaye, Beck), backing vocalist Ashley Wilcoxson, and percussionist Sam Bacco.
