Marilyn Manson at Coachella with X Japan

Marilyn Manson joined X Japan at Coachella for "Sweet Dreams" (watch)

As promised, Marilyn Manson joined X Japan onstage on Saturday at weekend two of Coachella. He performed a stripped down version of his Eurythmics cover, “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” accompanied by X Japan’s Yoshiki. Watch video of Marilyn’s Coachella performance below, which conflicted with Beyonce’s headlining set.

X Japan’s weekend one Coachella set featured an appearance from Limp Bizkit‘s Wes Borland, who is scheduled to perform a four-hour “long form durational set” at this year’s Moogfest, and is working on a project with blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

Marilyn Manson has had an eventful year, including an onstage injury in NYC, a tour cancellation, and an onstage “meltdown”. His co-headlining tour with Rob Zombie kicks off in July.

More from weekend two at Coachella: Friday pictures, St. Vincent and Bleachers covered Depeche Mode, Beyonce slayed (again), and Saturday pictures.
