Marilyn Manson joining X Japan at Coachella weekend 2

Coachella 2018 weekend one is a wrap, and weekend two begins in two days (Friday, April 20). If the set times are anything like weekend one, it means Beychella overlaps with popular Japanese heavy metal band X Japan. That conflict may be a very easy decision for fans of mainstream American music, but if it occurs again at weekend two, it’s gonna be a little tougher. Marilyn Manson revealed that he’ll be joining X Japan during their set. He broke the news via the above Instagram.

UPDATE: Weekend two set times are out, and X Japan do indeed overlap with Beyonce once again.

It’s been an eventful year for Marilyn Manson. He cancelled a tour following an on-stage injury in NYC, rescheduled that tour and had an on-stage “meltdown” at one of the dates, dismissed a band member following a rape accusation against that member, and issued a statement on pointing a fake gun at a concert audience. Later this year, he’ll team up (once again) with Rob Zombie for a co-headlining tour.

X Japan’s weekend one set featured Wes Borland, the only member of Limp Bizkit with enough cool cred to play Moogfest.
