Marissa Nadler

Black Sabbath may be best remembered for pioneering doom metal, but their early albums also had a few great psychedelic folk songs worked in. Marissa Nadler knows this, and considering how dark many of her own folk songs are, has probably been inspired by them before. Now she’s covered one of those songs, the brooding “Solitude” from their game-changing third album Master of Reality. She doesn’t stray too far from the original, but she still finds ways to make it her own. Check it out below.
