Marissa Nadler played Rough Trade with Johanna Warren (pics, setlist)

Having released the terrific For My Crimes earlier this year, Marissa Nadler stopped by Rough Trade on December 6 as part of a short North American tour that wrapped up this weekend. Backed by a cellist and a second guitarist, she played about half of her new album, plus songs from the rest of her catalogue and her cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Save Me at Place.” Setlist is below.

Portland, OR folk artist Johanna Warren, who released Gemini II back in February, played a lovely opening set, despite apologies for being under the weather. It made for a great double bill. Pictures from the night are in the gallery above.
