Mark Eitzel announces new album, shares "The Last 10 Years"

American Music Club frontman Mark Eitzel has a new album on the way. This one, his 10th solo album, is called Hey Mr. Ferryman and drops on January 27 via Merge. He’s shared the first song, a catchy indie-rock song called “The Last 10 Years,” which Mark says was originally written for American Music Club:

This song was originally written for American Music Club and was called ‘The Last 5 Years.’ This was inspired by an especially toxic year spent in New York’s Lower East Side. I added five years to make it ten, though 20 years had passed. It would have been a different song if the chorus was ‘I spent the last 20 years trying to waste half an hour.’ I mean, that’s a lot even for me.

Mark has a European tour coming up, and you can check out those dates below, along with a stream of the new song. Pre-order the new album here.
