Mark Eitzel shares new song, announces tour with Howe Gelb

American Music Club frontman and veteran solo artist Mark Eitzel will release his next album, Hey Mr. Ferryman, on January 27 via Merge. It was produced by ex Suede guitarist Bernard Butler, and he’s just shared a second song from it, following “The Last Ten Years.” This one’s a sweeping ballad called “An Answer” and you can hear it below.

Mark also announced a tour with Giant Sand‘s Howe Gelb. The tour includes a Jersey City show on April 8 at WFMU Monty Hall and a Brooklyn show on April 9 at Rough Trade. Tickets for Rough Trade go on sale Friday (1/13) at noon with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (1/11) at noon. Ticket info for Monty Hall coming soon. All dates are listed below.
