Mavis Staples playing 2019 WFUV Holiday Cheer w/ Nathaniel Rateliff & more

WFUV’s annual “Holiday Cheer” benefit show happens December 10 at Beacon Theater. This year’s show includes performances by Mavis Staples, Nathaniel Rateliff and Yola. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 11 at 10 AM with a WFUV presale starting Wednesday (10/9) at 10 AM — use password WFUVCHEER.

Mavis Staples, who celebrated her 80th birthday this year, recently opened for Brandi Carlile at Madison Square Garden and just released a single with Norah Jones. She’s got dates in Colorado with Rateliff right after the WFUV show, and plays the NYC area next month with Buddy Guy at NJ PAC on 11/10 (tickets).
