Megadeth will tour with Amon Amarth, Suicidal Tendencies, Metal Church & Havok (dates)
A very large metal tour that had been rumored for months has finally been announced, as Megadeth will be hitting the road with Amon Amarth, Suicidal Tendencies, Metal Church and Havok in September and October. Megadeth has already toured with Suicidal Tendencies and Havok this year, so presumably that went well as they re-up for another round with even more famous bands.
That tour closes down with a couple NYC-area dates in NJ, as they’ll hit Newark at The Prudential Center on October 14 and then Camden at BB&T Pavilion on October 16. Tickets for both Newark and Camden go on VIP and Fan Club presale on Tuesday (7/19), on AmEx presale Wednesday (7/20), on Live Nation/Ticketmaster presale Thursday (7/21), and on sale to the general public Friday (7/22).
Megadeth recently announced a new drummer, Dirk Verbeuren of Soilwork, who replaces Lamb of God’s Chris Adler. Of course former Megadeth drummer Nick Menza recently sadly passed away.
And speaking of drummer news, this tour will also feature the great Dave Lombardo on the skins with Suicidal Tendencies. They’ve also announced details of their new album which features Dave’s playing; World Gone Mad will hit on September 30, and you can watch the album trailer below.
Amon Amarth, for their part, recently put out a new album called Jomsviking. They’ll be hitting Ozzfest Meets Knotfest along with Megadeth early in the tour.
