Melvins announce tour with Redd Kross and ShitKid

Melvins have just announced a North American tour that has them out with Redd Kross, and Swedish band ShitKid. Things get underway in San Diego on September 3 and wrap up in Vegas on November 5, and in between they’ll hit pretty much every major city in the U.S. and Canada. Melvins and Redd Kross currently share bassist Steve McDonald, and Melvins’ Dale Crover will also pull double duty on this tour as he’s drumming for Redd Kross on this run. “Redd Kross and ShitKid are two of my favorites. We’ve already done fantastic European tours with both of these bands so I know bringing them out with us on this trip will be a total mind blower for the lucky fans,” said Buzz Osborne.

There are two NYC-area shows: October 10 at Warsaw in Brooklyn and October 11 at Stone Pony in Asbury Park. Tickets for those shows go on sale Friday, May 17 at 10 AM with presales starting Wednesday (5/15) at 10 AM.

Melvins released Pinkus Abortion Technician last year which features two bassists: McDonald and Jeff Pinkus (of Butthole Surfers). Stream that below. Redd Kross are also prepping a new album.

ShitKid is the project of Swedish artist Åsa Söderqvist who makes snotty, grungy punk and just released her second album, Detention, via PNK SLM and you can stream that below.
