Melvins' King Buzzo announces new LP and tour w/ Trevor Dunn (stream a track)

Buzz Osbourne (King Buzzo) and Trevor Dunn

Melvins frontman Buzz Osborne (aka King Buzzo) has announced his second solo LP, Gift of Sacrifice, out May 15 via Ipecac Recordings. It’s his follow-up to his 2014 acoustic solo debut This Machine Kills Artists, and was recorded with Mr. Bungle bassist Trevor Dunn (who also plays with Buzz in Fantomas and Melvins Lite). You can check out “Science In Modern America,” a sinister folk jam with Dunn’s skillful bass runs in the mix. Stream that, and view the album’s artwork and tracklist, below.

Buzz and Trevor Dunn will also be touring the album together starting in May, hitting cities like Philly, NYC, Austin, LA, Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, and lots more. “Gift of Sacrifice was a stone groove to record and it will be a fucking blast to finally hit the road with my buddy Trevor Dunn,” says Buzz. “Once we take the stage, I guarantee we’ll kick the crap out of this album.”

The NYC show happens at Bowery Ballroom on June 5, with tickets to all dates going on sale Friday (2/28) at 10 AM local time. All dates are listed below.
