Melvins & Redd Kross played Warsaw, covered KISS together (pics, videos, setlists)

Melvins and Redd Kross are on tour together, and it’s been like one big family, as both bands share bassist Steve McDonald, and also because Melvins’ Dale Crover is drumming with Redd Kross for this tour. The tour hit Brooklyn’s Warsaw on 10/10, and it basically felt like a co-headlining show (even if it wasn’t explicitly billed as one), with both bands playing decent-sized sets and both bands getting the crowd going wild. Melvins also covered Redd Kross’ “Charlie” about halfway through their set, and the two bands ended the show together, with the rest of Redd Kross joining the Melvins on stage for Redd Kross’ “Standing In Front of Poseur” and a cover of KISS‘ “Deuce,” the latter of which saw the McDonald brothers aping the guitar swings that KISS do.

It was also even more of a familiar affair thanks to an opening set by frequent Melvins collaborator Toshi Kasai (who replaced ShitKid on the tour). Pictures are in the gallery above. Melvins and Redd Kross setlists and video of the show-ending Melvins/Redd Kross collab below.

In other news, you can still donate to the Kickstarter for the upcoming Redd Kross documentary.
