MORK / ROTTING CHRIST / TOMB MOLD

Norwegian black metallers Mork followed 2017’s Eremittens Dal with Det Svarte Juv earlier this year (via Peaceville), and now they’re gearing up for their first-ever US shows. Right after playing Psycho Las Vegas in August, they’ll play San Diego and LA with fellow Psycho acts Rotting Christ (who released The Heretics earlier this year) and Tomb Mold (who released Planetary Clairvoyance today). More info here. Mork’s Thomas Eriksen recently spoke to The Big Takeover about the band’s upcoming US debut, and he said, “Psycho Vegas will be Mork’s first-ever US show. So, we will bring our plague and deliver it the way that only Mork can. The Mork followers in the pit can expect representation from each of the four albums.”

CAVE IN with WAR ON WOMEN, HELMS ALEE, THE PRIMALS & more

Cave In announced a tour with some very cool openers. They’ll continue to be joined by Converge’s Nate Newton as a live replacement for their late bassist Caleb Scofield, and $1 from every ticket sold will go to the Caleb Scofield Memorial Fund.

SANGUINE EAGLE

Sanguine Eagle recently released two new albums, Storm Mysticism and Shrores of Avarice, on Profound Lore, and they’ve now scheduled a release show for August 23 at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus with Ruin Lust, Ozama, and one other band. No word on other tour dates at the moment, but we’ll update if more are announced. That same night, Vitus has a late show with JK Flesh, Confines, No Dawn, and Moral Extrication.

SANNHET

Brooklyn heavy post-rockers Sannhet released the new Short Life 7″ on Profound Lore earlier this year, and they’ve now got a hometown one-off scheduled for August 24 at Saint Vitus with Alberich and Lussuria. As good as Sannhet’s records are, their music is even more intense when experienced live, so get those tickets.

MADBALL / CRO-MAGS JM

Two veteran NYHC bands, Madball and Cro-Mags JM (John Joseph and Mackie’s band), have two hometown shows together this fall. Cro-Mags JM are also on tour with Clutch and Killswitch Engage now.

LIGHTNING BOLT

Providence noise rock vets Lightning Bolt are playing shows this year, including an outdoor NYC show, the Desert Daze and Denver Hex festivals, and more.

SLEEP

Stoner metal legends Sleep have been touring like crazy since releasing their long-awaited and well-received comeback album last year, and they recently added even more dates, including a New Year’s run at Chicago’s Thalia Hall on 12/29, 12/30, and 12/31. Night one is with Circuit des Yeux, night two is with Joshua Abrams Natural Information Society, and NYE is with Big Business. All dates and more info here.

CLAUDIO SIMONETTI’S GOBLIN

As mentioned, Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin will be playing the score to Deep Red on tour this fall. After announcing the NYC show, the rest of the dates are now here, kicking off on September 14 in Atlanta and running through 10/17 in Montreal, hitting most major U.S. and Canadian cities in between. Head here for all dates.

WARISH opening for ACID KING

Not only is Riley Hawk a pro skater like his dad Tony Hawk, he’s also the frontman of the scuzz-punk band Warish, and they’re pretty legit. They’re following their self-titled debut EP with their debut full-length, Down In Flames, on September 13 via RidingEasy Records. The first single is “Healter Skelter,” which references the same Manson Family scenario as the Beatles song, and it’s an evil, fuzzed-out ripper. Warish are also opening stoner metal vets Acid King’s upcoming tour, and both bands are playing Levitation. All dates here.
