Tons of shows get announced every week, and it can be hard to keep up. Here are all the heavy music (metal, hardcore & more) tours, shows & fests that we posted on BV this week, and some new ones too…

FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY / RIVERS OF NIHIL

Fit For An Autopsy released their new album The Sea of Tragic Beasts today on Nuclear Blast, and they began their tour with tech-death greats Rivers of Nihil at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus last night (10/24). The tour continues in Hamden tonight (10/25), and they just added another Saint Vitus show to the end of the tour, happening November 24 with Last Ten Seconds of Life and Dyscarnate (tickets).

70,000 TONS OF METAL CRUISE (w/ CANDLEMASS, EMPEROR, VENOM, more)

The first ten bands have been announced for the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise, with 50 more TBA. It goes down January 7-11, from Miami/Ft. Lauderdale to Cozumel, Mexico and back, and the first ten bands announced are Candlemass, Einherjer, Emperor, Epica, Haggard, Leaves’ Eyes, Moonsorrow, Origin, Venom, and Wintersun. Tickets go on sale Saturday (10/26) at noon Eastern.

PSYCHO LAS VEGAS

Speaking of U.S. metal fests — still no lineup but — Psycho Las Vegas has announced that the casino fest will return to Mandalay Bay in 2020, pool party included. ‘Psycho Swim’ happens on 8/13 and the fest continues through 8/16.

BLACK TUSK / CHILD BITE

Savannah sludge-punks Black Tusk released a new track this week, which reminded us that their tour with Child Bite begins soon.

DEVIN TOWNSEND / HAKEN / THE CONTORTIONIST

Prog metal vet Devin Townsend announced a 2020 North American tour supporting his 2019 album Empath.

MONOLORD / BLACKWATER HOLYLIGHT

Monolord recently released their first album for Relapse, No Comfort, and they’re gearing up for a US tour with Blackwater Holylight (who also recently released a new album, Veils of Winter). The tour’s previously announced Brooklyn show for 11/17 at Saint Vitus has sold out, so they added a second show happening one night later at the same venue (tickets). All dates here.

AGNOSTIC FRONT / SICK OF IT ALL

NYHC bands Agnostic Front and Sick Of It All are playing four NYC shows in four boroughs the same week AF open for the Misfits in Philly. Meanwhile, both bands have lots of other tour dates too.

THE WELL / ZIG-ZAGS

Austin heavy psychsters are on tour now and playing Brooklyn with Heavy Temple tonight (10/23). They also announced a 2020 West Coast tour with their RidingEasy Records labelmates Zig-Zags.

CASPIAN

Post-rock greats Caspian have announced a West Coast tour for 2020, hitting LA, Phoenix, San Diego, Fresno, San Francisco, Portland, Vancouver, Seattle, Sacramento, and Long Beach. That follows two special hometown shows in Beverly, MA this November with the Losander Chamber Orchestra and a tour of Asia. All dates here.
