Metallica announce 2017 North American tour dates, playing MetLife & New Coliseum
After performing with Lady Gaga at the Grammys last night, Metallica have announced the dates for their North American stadium tour that they’ve been teasing for months now. Openers on most dates are Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat. A few shows are with Gojira.
As we guessed, the tour hits the NYC-area at the MetLife Stadium on May 14. Metallica will also play one of the grand re-opening shows for Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum, now called The New Coliseum, on May 17. Tickets for the whole tour go on fan club presale on Tuesday (2/14), and a Citi presale also begins Tuesday at 11 AM local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday (2/17) at 10 AM local time. All tickets come with a copy of Metallica’s 2016 album Hardwired… To Self-Destruct. All dates are listed below.
