Michael Che on tour, playing Kevin Barnett tribute, Staten Island show w/ Colin Jost & more
Michael Che is on summer break from SNL and is currently on the road with DJ and comedian Cipha Sounds on the “Liberal but Gangsta Tour” that is currently in Oakland (7/10 & 7/11), and then hits San Francisco, Chicago, Montreal, Austin and Seattle over the next month or so.
He’s also got a couple special hometown NYC shows on the horizon. On August 29 at Brooklyn Steel he’ll headline LugerFest, a tribute to comedian Kevin Barnett (who died in January). Also performing are Jermaine Fowler, Michelle Wolf, The Lucas Brothers, Lil Rel and more to be announced. Tickets for that are on AmEx presale now and go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 12 at 10 AM.
Then, Michael and his Weekend Update co-anchor Colin Jost will perform at Staten Island’s St. George Theatre on September 19 which is a benefit for the Staten Island Museum. (Jost is a Staten Island native.) Tickets for that are on presales now with the general on-sale starting Friday, July 12 at 10 AM.
