Mick Jagger having heart valve replacement surgery

The Rolling Stones postponed their 2019 tour due to Mick Jagger needing unspecified medical treatment. Originally reported by Drudge Report, Rolling Stone has confirmed that Mick will be undergoing heart valve replacement surgery.

As the band’s original statement on the postponement reads, “doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible.”

The postponed tour is 17 dates long and was to have included a headlining slot at New Orleans Jazz Fest. Jazz Fest released a statement about the lineup change:

Due to the postponement of the Rolling Stones No Filter tour, the band will not appear at this year’s Jazz Fest. Details about the Festval’s May 2 music lineup will be announced as soon as they are finalized.

Information regarding May 2 ticket refunds and second weekend VIP package adjustment is forthcoming.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes and thank you for your patience.
