Mineral release first song in 20 years, announce 2019 tour

Emo vets Mineral reunited for live shows back in 2014, and now they’ve released their first new song in 20 years. It’s called “Aurora,” and it’s coming out on a 10″ single with another song, “Your Body Is The World,” on January 4, alongside a new book called One Day We Were Young which features rare and never before seen photos, handwritten lyrics, interviews, and contributions from members of Jimmy Eat World, The Get Up Kids, and more (pre-order). The song is a little cleaner and more polished than Mineral were back in the day, but it’s still got remnants of their classic sound. Listen below.

The band also announced a 25th anniversary tour for 2019 with Tancred opening most dates, including a Brooklyn show on January 19 at Elsewhere. Tickets go on sale Friday (11/9) at 10 AM. All dates are listed below.
