Minus the Bear announce new LP & tour with Beach Slang & Bayonne, share song

Minus the Bear will release the followup to 2012’s Infinity Overhead, titled VOIDS, on March 3. For this one, they’re back on their original label Suicide Squeeze for the first time since 2007’s Planet of Ice. It’s also their first time working with producer Sam Bell, who’s worked with The Cribs, R.E.M., Bloc Party, and others. The first single is “Invisible,” which is a perfectly solid example of the rhythmic, hook-filled songwriting they’ve been doing for quite a while now. Check it out, with the album artwork, below.

Minus the Bear also announced a tour with Beach Slang (who just announced a new covers mixtape) and Bayonne. That’s a pretty sweet triple bill.

Those three bands will hit NYC on March 28 at Webster Hall, and the next night, Minus the Bear and Bayonne will play Music Hall of Williamsburg (3/29) without Beach Slang. (Wild Arrows are opening instead.) Tickets for Webster and MHOW go on sale Friday (1/13) at 10 AM, and there’s a venue presale for Webster starting Thursday (1/12) at 10 AM, The whole tour is on a VIP presale (which comes with a copy of the album) now. All dates are listed below.
