Miracle Legion's Mark Mulcahy preps 'The Gus' (listen to "Mr. Bell")

Mark Mulcahy of Miracle Legion and Polaris will release new solo album, The Gus, on June 7 via his own Mezzotint label. We’ve got the premiere of the spare, piano-led song “Mr. Bell,” which is a little different from what we usually hear Mark do. “Mr. Bell is a song about a man who is beloved in spite of his imperfections,” Mark tells us. “He takes advantage of the the unshakable faith of his followers, and pushes them to the brink of devoted insecurity again and again.” If you need more insight, you will want to check out the video which is made up of footage of Donald Trump. Says Mark, “The video for Mr Bell shows a man’s timorous walk toward a tentative, unexpected destiny. He tiptoes to the place he must now prove himself to his admirers. Before heading to the UK for tour (including a stop at the End of the Road festival), Mark will play a couple U.S. shows in August, in Vermont and Connecticut. All dates are listed below.
