Mirah and Jherek Bischoff announce co-headlining tour
Singer/songwriter Mirah and multi-instrumentalist Jherek Bischoff will be touring together this spring, playing their songs backed by a string quartet. The arrangements were written by Bischoff, and their sets will feature tracks from their previous albums as well as new material from both artists. That tour kicks off in Brooklyn’s BRIC House on May 5 and at that show they’ll have help from Deerhoof drummer Greg Saunier and kora player Kane Mathis. Tickets are on sale now.
As mentioned, Mirah will also form part of Hypnocraft’s The Hum on April 17 at Manhattan Inn with Sara Lucas (Callers) and Kate Mohanty (Parlor Walls). Tickets are on sale.
Jherek has been busy lately, having also collaborated with Amanda Palmer on her new song “Machete,” and produced Xiu Xiu’s upcoming album of songs from Twin Peaks.
