Mirah preps collaborative EP w/ Jherek Bischoff, playing Brooklyn release show

Mirah has a new EP on the way titled Sundial, which is a collaboration with composer Jherek Bishoff that has her reworking songs from her catalog. Bischoff brings string arrangements not typically found on Mirah’s pared-down, pop rock sound. There’s also a new song, Sundial’s title track, which you can listen to below.

Sundial will be released on October 6, and that night, Mirah and Bischoff will play a release show  at Brooklyn’s The Park Chuch Co-op in Brooklyn. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (8/11) at 10 AM,

Mirah also wrote a song for a new documentary about the creators of Curious George, titled Monkey Business, which you may have seen at Rooftop Films (Mirah performed pre-screening set). The movie will be available digitally and on-demand on August 15.

Jherek Bischoff also helping out with Zac Pennington’s new project, Comedienne that also features Deerhoof’s Greg Saunier.
