Mister Heavenly are back, releasing new LP & touring (listen to "Beat Down")
Remember Mister Heavenly, the supergroup of Honus Honus (Man Man), Nick Diamonds (The Unicorns, Islands), and drummer Joe Plummer (Modest Mouse, The Shins), that sometimes also included Michael Cera? Well, they’re back!
It’s looking like no Michael Cera involvement this time around, but Honus, Nick, and Joe will release the first Mister Heavenly album since their 2011 debut this year. That debut, Out of Love, came out on Sub Pop, but new album Boxing The Moonlight will be out on October 6 via Polyvinyl. The first single is “Beat Down,” and both Honus Honus and Nick Diamonds’ strong personalities come through on it. Listen below.
Mister Heavenly are also touring, including a NYC show on November 2 at Le Poisson Rouge. Tickets will be on sale soon. All dates are listed below.
