Mobb Deep played a ‘Hell on Earth’ show at BB King’s with Pete Rock, Smoke DZA, Camp Lo, & CJ Fly (pics)

Queensbridge rap legends Mobb Deep graced their hometown with a show at BB King’s last night (2/16), celebrating the 20th anniversary of 1996’s Hell on Earth, the great followup to their most classic album, The Infamous. The show’s whole bill was a mix of ’90s New York rap legends and newer artists who pay tribute to that era. The show began with an unannounced opening set from Pro Era’s CJ Fly. Then it was Bronx vets Camp Lo, and then a set from Pete Rock and Smoke DZA, who recently released a collaborative album. Other guests were in the house too. Pictures are in the gallery above.

Speaking of CJ Fly, he plays his hometown again on March 11 opening for Little Simz at the Studio at Webster Hall (tickets).
