Modern English announce rescheduled North American tour dates

Modern English had to cancel part of their spring 2017 tour after guitarist Gary McDowell had to undergo emergency surgery. With Gary back in good health, and after a summer on the ’80s-Alt-themed Retro Futura tour, Modern English have announced new North American headlining dates, and for most of those shows they’ll be out with shoegazers The Veldt. Those include a couple in the NYC area: Asbury Park’s Wonder Bar on November 10 and Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on November 22.

Tickets for Rough Trade are on AmEx presale now and go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 15 at noon; tickets for Wonder Bar go on sale Friday at 10 AM.

The band, most famous for “I Melt With You,” released Take Me to the Trees last year, which was the first album in 30 years from the band’s original lineup. Listen to that, and check out a list of all upcoming tour dates, below.
